Why Is Eğitim Inflation Important?
The Eğitim group makes up a significant portion of the household budget and contributes to overall CPI inflation by its own weight. If this group’s price increase is faster than overall inflation, the share households allocate to this item rises.
Difference Between Group Inflation and Overall Inflation
Each spending group’s price increase differs; some groups run above the overall CPI and others below. The overall CPI is the average of all groups calculated by their budget weights.
