What Would My Money Be? (Turkey) — Gold, Dollar, Stocks & Crypto Investment Simulator
See how much the TRY you invested in gold, currency, stocks, crypto, commodities, housing or a deposit on a past date would be worth today, its real return against inflation, and how it compares with other assets.
Investment Result
This tool answers “what would my money be?” across seven categories: gold (gram, Republic, Reşat, ounce), currencies (dollar, euro and 7 more), Borsa İstanbul plus US/European stocks and indices, cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum and hundreds of coins), commodities (oil, coffee, copper…), the housing price index and TRY time deposits. You choose an asset, an amount and a past date; you see its current TRY value and return.
It shows not only the nominal gain, but also how the same money fared against inflation (CPI) and what it would have become in dollars, gram gold, BIST 100 or a deposit — side by side. You can share the result with a single link.
The Difference Between Nominal Return and Real Return
Nominal return is the increase in the asset's TRY price. Real return is the gain adjusted for inflation: if the asset gains 100% while inflation is 120%, your purchasing power has actually decreased. This tool shows the two side by side.
Which Data Is Used?
Gold, currency, housing and deposit series come from CBRT EVDS; stocks and indices from Yahoo Finance monthly closes; crypto prices from Binance; commodities from FRED/IMF series. USD-based assets are converted to TRY at the CBRT selling rate, and the inflation comparison uses the TurkStat CPI index.
